The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed 12 establishments across various parts of Lagos State for allegedly violating environmental regulations. The enforcement exercise was carried out on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in line with directives from the Lagos State Government to ensure compliance with environmental laws and protect public health. LASEPA stated that the sealed establishments had received repeated warnings and abatement notices but failed to comply with the Agency's directives.
Among the establishments sealed was Thrillz Lounge on Odusanmi Street, Ogba, which was shut for noise pollution and non-compliance with LASEPA's directives. Others include Marvel Hotel & Suites in Igando, Keviz Hotel & Suites on LASU-Iba Road, and DSN Hotel & Suites on LASU-Igando Road. LASEPA also sealed Rudaj Vegetable Oil in Igando, Celestial Church of Christ (Aduragbemi Parish) in Ikotun, and Limas in Ikotun.
The enforcement exercise covered several areas, including Ogba, Idimu-Ikota, Ejigbo, LASU-Iba Road, Igando, and Agodo-Egbe. LASEPA stated that the action was aimed at promoting a cleaner, healthier, and safer environment for residents. The Agency emphasized its commitment to protecting public health and preserving the environment.
Some of the other establishments sealed include Feixiang Plastic on LASU-Ojo Road, Kobo Night Club in Agodo-Egbe, Master Furniture on Idimu-Ikota Road, and Nikky's Executive Bar & Lounge in Ikotun. Nico Hotel & Suites in Ejigbo was also sealed for non-compliance with LASEPA's directives.
Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, General Manager of LASEPA, reaffirmed the Agency's commitment to protecting public health and preserving the environment. He urged business owners, facility operators, and residents to adopt environmentally responsible practices and comply with applicable environmental regulations.
LASEPA warned that it would continue to enforce environmental regulations across the state. The Agency encouraged residents to report environmental infractions and cooperate with LASEPA in its efforts to build a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Lagos.
