The State Coordinators of RS2.1 Lagos and RS2.2 Ogun State Special Marshals, SM (Dr.) Olabisi O. Dennis and SM Taiwo Salau Balogun, have been recognised for their exceptional leadership and dedication to road safety advocacy. They were honoured at the 2026 Zone RS2 (Lagos and Ogun) Zonal Conference held in Abeokuta. The awards acknowledge their contributions to the growth and development of the Special Marshals scheme.

SM (Dr.) Olabisi O. Dennis received the Outstanding State Coordinator Award for his exemplary leadership in positioning RS2.1 Lagos Special Marshals as one of the outstanding-performing states in Nigeria. Under his leadership, RS2.1 Lagos has made significant progress in road safety advocacy, membership development, training, welfare, operational efficiency, and compliance with national directives.

Dennis has nearly two decades of experience with the Special Marshals scheme, serving in various capacities, including Unit Treasurer, Unit Coordinator, Assistant State Secretary, and Assistant Zonal Secretary for Lagos and Ogun States. He has won numerous awards for his service and was recognised for his role in driving the state's achievements.

SM Taiwo Salau Balogun, State Coordinator of RS2.2 Ogun State Special Marshals, received the Excellent Service Award for his dedication and commitment to the growth and development of the Special Marshals scheme. Balogun joined the Lions Unit of RS2.2 Ogun State in 2003 and has served in several leadership positions, including Unit Secretary, Unit Coordinator, State Financial Secretary, and Deputy State Coordinator.

The recognition of both leaders highlights the importance of effective leadership, teamwork, and sustained commitment in advancing the objectives of the Federal Road Safety Corps through voluntary service. Their awards serve as a testament to the importance of visionary leadership, institutional development, and collective responsibility in promoting road safety awareness.

In response to the award, Dennis dedicated it to the entire Lagos Special Marshals family, acknowledging their collective efforts, discipline, sacrifices, and unwavering support.
