Mozambique-based KKLM Enterprise Lda, led by CEO Lucílio Mondlane, participated in the African Energy Week 2026 in Cape Town to strengthen business relationships, explore new markets, and advance its ambitions in the energy and industrial services sectors. The event, held from October 12-16, brought together industry leaders, investors, and policymakers to discuss investment, local content, and Africa's energy future. KKLM Enterprise's participation was facilitated through the ENH-Linkar Project, marking another important step for the young Mozambican company seeking to establish itself in a competitive industry.

KKLM Enterprise has secured a strategic partnership with Nigeria's Dubi Energies, which brings 36 years of experience in waste management solutions for the oil, gas, and mining industries. The partnership aims to expand specialised industrial waste management services across Southern Africa, beginning with Mozambique and Namibia. KKLM Enterprise contributes its local networks, market knowledge, and understanding of Mozambique's business environment, while Dubi Energies brings industry experience and technical capabilities.

Mondlane described his first day at AEW as productive, highlighting his participation in the eighth African Petroleum Producers' Organization (APPO) National Oil Companies CEOs Forum. The forum brought together representatives from 18 countries to discuss cooperation and the future of Africa's energy industry. Although Mozambique is not yet an APPO member, Mondlane expressed hope that the country would eventually meet the requirements for membership and benefit from closer cooperation with other African petroleum-producing nations.

KKLM Enterprise specialises in integrated water treatment solutions and the supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to industrial and corporate clients. Established in 2022, the company has pursued opportunities in Mozambique's mining, energy, and industrial sectors, with an emphasis on developing partnerships that combine local market knowledge with established technical expertise. A significant breakthrough came in 2025 when the ENH-Linkar Project facilitated KKLM Enterprise's participation in the Mozambique Mining, Energy & Oil & Gas Conference and Exhibition (MMEC).

The partnership between KKLM Enterprise and Dubi Energies demonstrates the opportunities available when African businesses combine their resources, experience, and market knowledge. Rather than competing individually for opportunities in a demanding industry, companies can work together to strengthen their capabilities and pursue contracts that might otherwise remain beyond their reach. Dubi Energies has completed the necessary registration to operate in Mozambique and is preparing to establish operations in Cabo Delgado Province, with Pemba serving as its initial operational base.

Mondlane believes that Africa's energy future depends on collaboration, strategic partnerships, and turning natural resources into sustainable economic development. He expressed appreciation to the Linkar Project for facilitating his participation at AEW 2026 and acknowledged the continued role of Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos (ENH) in advancing Mozambique's energy ambitions. The experience illustrates how access to industry platforms can produce valuable business relationships for emerging local enterprises.

With Mozambique attracting substantial interest in its natural gas resources, the question of how domestic companies can secure a greater share of opportunities remains central to discussions about local content. Businesses such as KKLM Enterprise are seeking to position themselves within the supply chains supporting energy, mining, and industrial operations, while developing the expertise and partnerships needed to compete effectively. Mondlane's participation in Cape Town reinforced his interest in closer cooperation between African energy-producing countries.
