A dispute over a mother's houses in Entebbe and Kabaganda, her safe keys, and control of Sophies Ltd has turned into a fight for freedom for Kavuma. He alleges that after his arrest for criminal trespass and four nights at Entebbe CPS, he received forwarded messages on December 23, 2025, laying out a plan to remove him from police custody, commit him to Butabika Hospital for two weeks, deny him phone and visitors, and use that time to read the Will, revoke his mandate, and decide the fate of Kabaganda while he was out of circulation.

The messages allegedly sent by executor Brian Serunjoji and written by Conrad Kirunda Nkutu outlined a "Butabika option" - a plan to have Kavuma removed from police custody, taken to Butabika Hospital for psychiatric evaluation, and held there for at least two weeks while the courts were not functioning. The messages also proposed steps, including signing Kavuma out of CPS and into Butabika by police officers, providing grounds for a psych evaluation, and denying him phone access and visitors.

Kavuma received the messages hours after his release on bond from Entebbe CPS, which he says changed everything he thought he knew about the family estate fight. The messages allegedly stated that Kavuma had a 95% chance of getting police bond the next day, and that the family was worried he would harm them - claims Kavuma disputes. The plan also included liquidating all jointly bequeathed assets, selling Kabaganda, exhuming and reburying two deceased sisters, and suing the executors if they failed to follow the majority position.

Kavuma alleges that a second batch of updates he received described a security officer arriving at CPS Entebbe to effect a transfer to Butabika, Entebbe Police insisting on a police psychiatrist first in the absence of a court order, and a police psychiatrist later concluding that Kavuma was sane but, in the psychiatrist's view, dangerous and likely to harm his siblings and should not be released on bond - all of which Kavuma claims were faked by Conrad and Sophie.

After Kavuma was granted bond by OC CID Entebbe, Mr Comfort Byamukama, a plan was discussed to have a CID officer from Kiteezi, Emmy Odongo, wait at Entebbe CPS the next morning to re-arrest him for allegedly hindering burial and cyber harassment, seize his phone, and transfer him to Kiteezi. Kavuma believes the plan was not about medical care, but about keeping him "out of circulation" - no phone, no visitors, no ability to plot or defend himself - while decisions were made about the Will and the jointly bequeathed assets, including Kabaganda.

The dispute over the late Nkutu's wealth has led to several allegations of plotting and manipulation. Kavuma points to a separate message allegedly from Conrad, dated before the Will reading on January 21, 2026, in which Conrad allegedly proposes liquidation of all jointly bequeathed assets. The executors and family members involved in the dispute have not publicly commented on the allegations.

Kavuma is publishing the alleged messages and plans because he believes the truth needs to be known. The case highlights the complexities of family estate disputes and the lengths to which individuals may go to gain control of assets.
