Jumia Nigeria has announced a month-long Black Friday shopping campaign featuring discounts of up to 60 per cent, free shipping, dedicated brand promotions, and interactive activities. The campaign, scheduled for October 30 to November 30, 2026, aims to make products more affordable for consumers. It will feature daily deals, special brand promotions, and five Black Friday shopping events offering site-wide discounts.

Temidayo Ojo, Chief Executive Officer of Jumia Nigeria, disclosed this at a media briefing at the company’s headquarters in Lagos. He described the promotion as the company’s biggest Black Friday campaign yet. The annual promotion, now in its 14th edition, was designed to connect consumers with their preferred brands while providing access to products suited to their everyday needs.

Participating brands include Nivea, Xiaomi, Skyrun, Samsung, Oraimo, Binatone, and Silvercrest. Femi Abiodun, Head of Media Planning and Management at Jumia Nigeria, said three premium partner brands would offer significant discounts, with each having two dedicated brand days. The seven highlighted brands cover household needs, including home appliances, consumer electronics, and mobile accessories.

According to Abiodun, the five Black Friday events, described as “Excursion Fridays,” would offer site-wide discounts of up to 60 per cent. Brand days would run throughout the campaign, including Saturdays, with selected products available at exclusive prices for 24 hours. He advised shoppers to consult the Black Friday calendar on Jumia’s website, prepare wish lists, and activate notifications to avoid missing limited-time offers.

Lere Awokoya, Chief Marketing Officer of Jumia Nigeria, said the campaign would help consumers upgrade their lifestyles at affordable prices. He stressed that products were available across different price ranges. The programme would feature daily deals, brand promotions, special Friday offers, free shipping on Sundays, and interactive activities. Awokoya disclosed that a “scavenger hunt” would involve 200 items hidden on the company’s website for customers to find and keep.

Marilyn Oruwari, Chief Operating Officer of Jumia Nigeria and Central Head of Content for the Jumia Group, said the company had strengthened customer support and operational readiness ahead of the campaign. Customers could obtain assistance through WhatsApp, live chat, and telephone hotlines available round the clock. An artificial intelligence-powered chat service would handle routine enquiries outside regular working hours.

The campaign is expected to provide consumers with access to products at discounted prices. Shoppers can visit Jumia’s Black Friday landing page or download its mobile application for information about offers and activities. With a wide range of products and interactive activities, Jumia’s Black Friday campaign aims to be the biggest yet, providing consumers with a unique shopping experience.
