The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has elected a new team of national executives to lead the party ahead of the 2028 general election. John Boadu, the former General Secretary of the NPP, has been elected National Chairman of the party. He secured 2,888 votes in the party's national executive elections, held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Saturday, October 3. The election had more than 7,000 delegates in attendance.

John Boadu defeated two other contenders, former Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko and former National Chairman Paul Afoko. Boakye Agyarko polled 2,048 votes, while Paul Afoko secured 490 votes. Another contender, Sammy Crabbe, withdrew from the race before the election and endorsed John Boadu. The election covered nine national executive positions, with various candidates vying for the top spots.

Justin Frimpong Kodua has retained his position as National General Secretary after polling 4,486 votes. Daniel Titus Glover was elected National Organiser with 2,964 votes, defeating Ali Maiga who secured 2,231 votes. The NPP also elected Alfred Kwajo Thompson as National Treasurer after he secured 2,243 votes. Other positions were also filled with new executives.

Kojo Fosu Boadu, popularly known as Kojo Bamba, secured 3,116 votes to become First Vice Chairman. Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, obtained 3,061 votes for the Second Vice Chairman position. Nana Akomea was elected Third Vice Chairman. The new executives will work together to lead the NPP ahead of the 2028 general election.

In the special wing positions, Abanga Fuseini Yakubu was elected National Youth Organiser after polling 1,550 votes. Mavis Hawa Koomson, former Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, was elected National Women's Organiser, defeating Hajia Safia Mohammed. Mohammed Ali Suraj also won the National Nasara Organiser position with 372 votes.

Other special wing positions were also filled, with Salim Mansuru Bamba polling 311 votes and Awal Mohammed securing 106 votes. Dennis Edward Miracles Aboagye was elected National Communications Director unopposed. The new national executives will work together to promote the NPP's agenda and lead the party to victory in the 2028 general election.
