Jetour Nigeria is set to showcase its seven-seater X70 Plus SUV at the Jetour Experience Abuja from September 22 to 24. The three-day motoring event, scheduled to hold at the Maha Event Centre, Area 8, Garki, Abuja, will give prospective buyers and motoring enthusiasts in the Federal Capital Territory and neighbouring states an opportunity to experience the X70 Plus and other models in the Jetour range.
The Abuja activation follows the Lagos edition of the Jetour Experience, which the company said attracted strong participation in test drives and generated significant sales enquiries. According to Jetour Nigeria, growing interest in its vehicles among residents of Abuja and surrounding states was a major factor behind the decision to take the roadshow to the Federal Capital Territory.
The X70 Plus is positioned by the automaker as a family-oriented sports utility vehicle, with a seven-seat configuration designed to combine passenger capacity with comfort and everyday usability. The SUV is offered with 1.5-litre and 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine options, with outputs of up to 145kW and torque of up to 290Nm. The powertrain is paired with a dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Jetour has equipped the model with a range of safety and driver-assistance features aimed at improving occupant protection and driving confidence. Its safety package includes front, side and curtain airbags, Vehicle Stability Control, Hill-Start Assist and Hill-Descent Control. The vehicle also features a 360-degree panoramic camera system with 2D and 3D viewing modes, while Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems are available on the model.
The cabin is similarly equipped with features targeted at comfort and convenience. Among them is a 10.23-inch LCD touchscreen, dual-zone climate control with air purification, wireless smartphone charging, a panoramic sunroof and an eight-speaker audio system. The model’s combination of seating capacity, technology and safety equipment is expected to be one of the major attractions for families and other motorists attending the Abuja event.
Jetour Nigeria said the Abuja experience would also allow potential customers to obtain more information about vehicle ownership, after-sales support and the wider range of products available from the brand. The automaker currently operates through seven accredited dealers in Nigeria, comprising Elizade Nigeria Limited, Mandilas Autos, R.T. Briscoe Motors, Germaine Auto Centre, Kojo Motors, Tab Autos Limited and New Era Auto Vehicle Services Limited.
The Abuja activation is part of Jetour’s broader effort to deepen its presence in Nigeria and bring its products closer to consumers beyond the country’s commercial capital. With the Federal Capital Territory serving as a major market for new vehicles and attracting customers from neighbouring states, the three-day event is expected to provide the automaker with another opportunity to engage directly with prospective buyers.
