The Jetour F700, the Chinese automaker's flagship hybrid pickup, is set to take centre stage at the Jetour Experience Abuja as the company intensifies efforts to expand its presence in Nigeria's premium and adventure vehicle market. The three-day event, scheduled for September 22 to 24, 2026, at the Maha Event Centre, Area 8, Garki, Abuja, will provide prospective customers, commercial fleet operators, and motoring enthusiasts with an opportunity to experience the capabilities of the F700.
The F700 was developed to meet the demands of buyers seeking a vehicle capable of handling demanding commercial and industrial applications while retaining the comfort and technology expected of a premium vehicle. The company is also positioning the model as an electrified alternative in the growing pickup segment, with its hybrid powertrain designed to combine electric propulsion with petrol-powered energy generation.
At the heart of the F700 is Jetour's Kunpeng Super Hybrid CDM-O powertrain, which combines two high-output electric drive motors with a turbocharged petrol generator. The system uses the petrol engine primarily as an onboard generator to supply energy to the battery, while the electric motors provide propulsion. This configuration was developed to address range limitations often associated with fully electric vehicles.
The F700 is also equipped with an 800V electrical architecture supplied with a CATL battery system. The technology can charge the battery from 20 per cent to 80 per cent in about 10 minutes under suitable charging conditions. The manufacturer further claims that the vehicle can deliver a combined cruising range of up to 1,300 kilometres on a full battery and fuel tank.
Beyond its powertrain, the F700 has been engineered with off-road performance as a major part of its proposition. The pickup employs Jetour's intelligent XWD all-wheel-drive system, incorporating front, centre, and rear mechanical differential locks to improve traction across difficult surfaces. With approximately 9.5 inches of ground clearance and a claimed water-wading capability of up to 900mm, Jetour said the vehicle is capable of tackling muddy routes, construction sites, rocky trails, unpaved roads, and deep-water crossings.
Inside the cabin, Jetour has sought to differentiate the F700 from conventional work-oriented pickups by incorporating features associated with premium SUVs. The interior includes a 35.4-inch panoramic 'Sky Screen', alongside a 15.6-inch central command touchscreen designed to provide access to vehicle functions, telematics, and other information. The company's focus on combining utility with luxury reflects the changing nature of the pickup market.
Jetour's growing Nigerian dealer and after-sales network is also expected to feature prominently in its efforts to attract customers to the F700. The company said its nationwide after-sales infrastructure includes certified technicians and access to genuine spare parts through its authorised dealer network. The network includes Elizade Nigeria Limited, New Era AutoVehicle Services, Germaine Auto Centre, Kojo Motors, Mandilas Autos, R.T. Briscoe, and TAB Autos.
