Isaac Makokha has emerged victorious in the 2026 NCBA Tea Fields Trophy held at Kericho Golf Club. He secured the title by carding three consistent rounds of 76, finishing on 12-over-par 228. This victory marks Makokha's latest achievement in the Kenya Amateur Golf Championship Series (KAGC). He is a member of the Kenya Railway Golf Club and previously won a bronze medal at the Deaflympics golf event.

Makokha held off challenges from Daniel Mwangi and Ken Serem, who tied for second place on 10-over-par 230. Mwangi started with a 73, followed by rounds of 77 and 80, while Serem from Eldoret posted scores of 72, 78, and 80. Elvis Muigua finished fourth on 15-over-par 231, and John Koina of Muthaiga completed the top five on 17-over-par 233.

The NCBA Tea Fields Trophy is part of the Kenya Amateur Golf Championship Series. In another notable event, Ishaan Patel made history at the NCBA U.S. Kids Golf Nairobi Local Tour at Thika Sports Club. Patel achieved the first par-four hole-in-one in the history of the Nairobi Local Tour, holing his tee shot on the seventh hole. This rare feat was both an ace and an albatross.

Patel finished with a score of 85 and came in second place in the Boys 12 category after a playoff. Jerome Njuguna took the title. Adam Nesbitt won the Boys 13–14 category with a one-under-par 71. Other winners included Zara Mutungi in Girls 8 & Under with 35, Hakeem Mutungi in Boys 10 with 37, Victor Halland in Boys 6 & Under with 41, and Ethan Gakuya in Boys 7 with 47.

The NCBA U.S. Kids Golf Nairobi Local Tour had over 140 junior golfers competing across different age categories. The event provided young players with an opportunity to gain regular tournament experience. NCBA Bank Thika Branch Manager Nicholas Njenga stated that the bank's support for junior golf aims to create opportunities for young players to develop their talents and encourage families to plan for their futures.

The Nairobi Local Tour will move to Royal Nairobi Golf Club on October 11 for the penultimate event of the season. The Tour Championship will conclude at VetLab Sports Club on October 25. Registration is open for the fourth NCBA Kenya Invitational, scheduled to take place at Karen Country Club from December 18 to 22. This international U.S. Kids Golf event will bring together junior golfers from around the world.

The NCBA Kenya Invitational will feature players holding Priority Status Level 4 eligible to participate.
