Bukola Oladokun, a resident, stated that the road's condition has increased vehicle maintenance costs for transport operators and motorists, while commuters endure longer journeys. Ayosola Oguntimehin, another resident, expressed worry that continued neglect of the road could make some portions almost impassable. She noted that it has been about ten years since the road was last fixed and urged the government to take immediate action. Demola Lawal, a resident, appealed to the Lagos State Government and Ikorodu North LCDA Executive Chairman, Mayor Ameen Olawale Ibrahim Apanisile, to inspect the road and commence comprehensive rehabilitation.
Lawal emphasized that fixing the road would ease transportation, improve economic activities, and enhance the quality of life for residents in Odogunyan, Odonla, and surrounding communities. He also stressed the importance of addressing drainage infrastructure alongside road repairs to prevent recurrence of road failures caused by flooding and erosion.
Emmanuel Bankole, a resident, highlighted the critical role of road infrastructure in community development. He urged the government to prioritize the rehabilitation of the Odogunyan-Odonla Road, stating that the current situation can no longer be tolerated. The road's poor condition has increased travel time, with journeys of ten minutes now lasting up to 30 minutes.
