Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has expressed gratitude to KSI Construction Company Limited for gifting a plot of land worth N50 million in Abuja. The land will serve as the site for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) office of Iru Ekun Security Network, a local security initiative founded by Igboho. This development is expected to enhance the organization's official engagements in the nation's capital.

According to a statement from Igboho's media office, the donation will facilitate the establishment of Iru Ekun's corporate office in Abuja. Igboho reaffirmed his organization's commitment to collaborating with security agencies, including the police, Nigerian Army, and Department of State Services (DSS), to ensure safety and peace in South-West communities. He also acknowledged the support of the Federal Government and South-West governors in addressing insecurity in Yorubaland.

Igboho commended KSI Construction Company Limited for its generosity, stating that such contributions from corporate bodies and individuals will boost the fight against insecurity in Nigeria. The company not only donated the land but also plans to provide 10 brand-new motorcycles for Iru Ekun's operations during the proposed unveiling of its Abuja office.

Dr. Koleola Emmanuel Oladeni, Group Managing Director of KSI Construction Company Limited, attributed the donation to the positive impact of Iru Ekun Security Network's operations in the South-West. He noted that the organization's efforts, backed by security agencies, have led to a significant reduction in kidnapping, banditry, and other crimes in Yorubaland.

Oladeni explained that the company's decision to donate the land and motorcycles was informed by the noticeable decrease in nefarious activities in the region. He emphasized the importance of supporting and encouraging local security initiatives, such as Iru Ekun, in their efforts to ensure the security and safety of the people.

The donation is seen as a boost to Iru Ekun Security Network's operations and a demonstration of the company's commitment to corporate social responsibility. Igboho's initiative has been making efforts to complement the efforts of conventional security agencies in the South-West region.

The development is also expected to foster greater collaboration between local security initiatives and corporate bodies in addressing insecurity in Nigeria.
