Hon. Thankgod Christopher Ibeh, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency in Lagos State, has promised to prioritize the welfare of the elderly, youth employment, and infrastructure development if elected into the House of Representatives. During a town hall meeting with constituents, Ibeh, a former gubernatorial aspirant, emphasized his commitment to effective representation and community development. He highlighted his experience, having contested for the APGA ticket for the Anambra governorship in 2021 and served as the chairman of APGA in Lagos for over six years.
Ibeh's plans for the community include a monthly payment to the elderly, a youth empowerment initiative, and infrastructure development. He promised that individuals aged 70 and above in the constituency would receive monthly payments through his foundation, payable before the 30th of every month. Additionally, he plans to empower youths with a 'One youth-two skills' initiative, enabling them to acquire at least two skills. Ibeh also aims to sponsor laws that will empower the people in his constituency.
The APGA candidate emphasized his commitment to addressing youth unemployment, a significant challenge facing the constituency. He plans to partner with Federal Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), private sector organizations, and development partners to create employment opportunities. Ibeh also aims to improve healthcare services, upgrade primary healthcare centers, and provide modern medical equipment.
Ibeh's plans also include road rehabilitation, agricultural development, and education. He promises to construct strategic roads, rehabilitate dilapidated roads, and improve drainage systems to curb flooding. In agriculture, he plans to train and empower farmers across various sectors, including fisheries, livestock, and crop production. Ibeh also aims to renovate dilapidated schools, support the digitalization of school libraries, and provide ICT facilities.
The candidate urged his constituents to hold him accountable for his promises, vowing to redefine representation if elected into the Green Chamber. He challenged them to ensure that they protect their votes in the upcoming election. Ibeh expressed his desire to give back to his people, who have shown him love and support.
Comrade Ololade Johnson, Director General of TKC Campaign Organisation, which is championing Ibeh's election, assured of massive support for the candidate. Johnson believes that with Ibeh in the Green Chamber, Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency will experience significant development.
