Chief Executive Officers of Federal Agencies and Parastatals in Nigeria have formed a coalition to support the reelection of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections. The coalition, known as the Forum of Chief Executives of Federal Parastatals, aims to provide technical, strategic, and institutional support to the All Progressives Congress' Presidential Campaign Council. The forum's efforts will focus on grassroots mobilisation, campaign messaging, election planning, monitoring, and management.

The coalition was unveiled in Abuja during a meeting with the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, and members of the party's National Working Committee. The Chief Executives presented their vision for stronger collaboration between government institutions, political stakeholders, and the party. They emphasised their commitment to contributing to national development and promoting the progress, stability, and prosperity of Nigeria.

Dr. Kazeem Kolawole Raji, Chairman of the forum and Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the National Board for Technology Incubation, described the forum as a platform for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, coordination, and the exchange of ideas. He stressed the responsibility of public institutions to ensure Nigerians properly understand government programmes and achievements. Raji expressed confidence that the APC leadership would continue to strengthen the party's structures and deepen its engagement with Nigerians.

The forum has formed a complementary campaign structure to support the Presidential Campaign Council. This structure will focus on various aspects of campaign organisation, including election planning and monitoring, mobilisation, media management, strategic messaging, and overall campaign coordination. Otunba Biodun Ajiboye, Chairman of the forum's Media and Publicity Committee, described the intervention as a technical partnership that could complement the work of the Presidential Campaign Council.

Ajiboye, who is also the Executive Secretary/CEO of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation, noted that the forum has access to experienced professionals and administrators capable of contributing to the campaign. He emphasised that the Forum was not seeking to replace or overshadow the Presidential Campaign Council, but rather to provide support and expertise where needed.

The coalition's efforts are expected to enhance the APC's campaign efforts and increase its chances of winning the 2027 general elections. The forum's involvement is seen as a significant boost to the party's campaign, given the experience and expertise of its members. The coalition's focus on grassroots mobilisation and campaign messaging is also expected to help the party connect with Nigerians and promote its programmes and achievements.

The formation of the coalition is a significant development in Nigerian politics, as it highlights the importance of collaboration between government institutions, political stakeholders, and the party. The forum's efforts are expected to contribute to the success of the APC's campaign and the reelection of President Tinubu in 2027.
