This impressive performance enabled Guiriko to outrank the Nakambé and Kadiogo regions in the overall standings.
The Guiriko region's success can be attributed to its exceptional performance in various events, including individual and collective technical events, with and without weapons. In the Long Hô Quyên individual event, Kevin Ky from Guiriko won the gold medal, followed by his teammate Drame Sékou. The Guiriko region also excelled in combat events, with Moussa Koanda securing the gold medal in the under-65kg black belt category.
The Kadiogo region completed the podium with 11 medals, including three gold medals, one silver medal, and seven bronze medals. The Nakambé region ranked second with 12 medals, comprising three gold medals, six silver medals, and three bronze medals. In the female category, Atti Mariama Ouédraogo from Guiriko won the gold medal in the 65-70kg blue belt category, followed by Afsatou Barro, also from Guiriko. Prisca Traoré from Nakambé secured the bronze medal.
