The second cohort of trainees from the ASCAD has begun their final evaluation, marking the end of a three-month training program in heavy-duty vehicle driving. The program, supported by GUICOPRES, focused on practical training, with 70% of the curriculum dedicated to hands-on experience and 30% to theory. This initiative is part of a long-term commitment to support the development of young people in Guinea.

The training program is aligned with the vision of President Mamadi Doumbouya, who prioritizes the development of the youth. GUICOPRES, led by its President Director General, Kerfalla Camara, has been supporting ASCAD for several years in training young people. The company plans to expand its collaboration with ASCAD to other fields, such as plumbing, electricity, and maintenance, as part of its corporate social responsibility strategy.

The partnership between GUICOPRES and ASCAD was highlighted by Karamo II Kaba, Deputy Managing Director of GUICOPRES, and Amadou Keïta, Deputy Managing Director of ASCAD, who both emphasized the excellence of their collaboration. Kaba noted that ASCAD embodies a presidential priority in training young Guineans and that GUICOPRES is committed to supporting the youth. He also mentioned that the company offers a professional framework to those who stand out.

Amadou Keïta from ASCAD described GUICOPRES as a partner that contributes to the training of vulnerable young people, enabling them to integrate into the workforce. He stressed that this partnership supports the state's public policy of prioritizing youth qualification and considered it a crucial collaboration. Keïta thanked GUICOPRES and its leaders for their investment in Guinean youth.

The partnership between GUICOPRES and ASCAD has yielded concrete results, with 51 young people, including five women, completing the training program. The presence of women among the beneficiaries illustrates the opening of a profession traditionally perceived as masculine. The trainees have expressed their gratitude to GUICOPRES and ASCAD for the benefits they will gain from this training.

Aissatou Keita, speaking on behalf of the trainees, expressed her appreciation to GUICOPRES and ASCAD for the support they received during the training. She emphasized that the partnership between the private company and the public institution has provided them with prospects for their future careers. The collaboration between GUICOPRES and ASCAD demonstrates that a partnership can lead to concrete opportunities for young people.

The partnership is set to expand to other fields, with GUICOPRES and ASCAD agreeing to broaden their collaboration. This development is expected to provide more opportunities for young Guineans to acquire skills and integrate into the workforce. The initiative has been hailed as a success, with both parties expressing their commitment to continuing their collaboration.
