A group of former supporters from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ogun State have formed the Yayi Ni Wura Alliance Movement. The group aims to mobilize support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and the governorship ambition of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi. The Director of Media and Publicity of the group, Wasiu Adejumo, known as Westo, disclosed that members had previously belonged to different political parties before deciding to support Tinubu and Adeola. He cited Adeola's political relevance and developmental strides across the state as reasons for their support. Adejumo explained that the group decided to come together to support Adeola's governorship ambition and Tinubu's re-election bid.
The group's state coordinator, Akeem Shodiya, maintained that the organization was established to mobilize support for Tinubu, Adeola, and other APC candidates ahead of the 2027 elections. Shodiya asserted that the alliance would accommodate members of other political platforms willing to join its mobilisation structure. He emphasized that the group's mobilisation would be carried out across the state through grassroots engagement and community-based activities.
