Ewura Adams Karim has officially picked nominations to contest for the position of Deputy National Communications Officer of Ghana's National Democratic Congress (NDC). He aims to strengthen the party's communication strategy, empower grassroots communicators, and improve its response to opposition propaganda. Mr. Karim's decision to contest is an expression of gratitude, conviction, and a deep sense of duty to the NDC, a party that has shaped his upbringing, values, and political identity.

Born into an NDC tradition, Mr. Karim credits his parents with instilling in him the values of service, sacrifice, and commitment to the NDC. His mother was an active member of the 31st December Women's Movement, participating in organising women, mobilising communities, and promoting political participation across northern Ghana. His father, Alhaji Seidu Karim, began his public service career as an assembly member and rose through the ranks to become presiding member, district secretary, and eventually district chief executive.

Mr. Karim's political roots and experiences have taught him that politics should focus on service, sacrifice, and giving ordinary citizens a voice in national affairs. He recalled his father's work under former President Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings, including his involvement during the 1994 conflict in northern Ghana. These experiences have shaped Mr. Karim's approach to politics and his desire to contest for the NDC Deputy Communications Officer position.

Mr. Karim highlights his extensive experience in public speaking, student leadership, broadcasting, and international engagements as part of his credentials. He served as utility prefect of T.I. AMASS, Ashanti Regional SRC Vice President, and Speaker of the SRC General Assembly at the University of Ghana, where he was named the Most Influential Student. He also participated in national debates and represented his ideas at international events, including the Hult Prize regional finals in Dubai and Boston.

Mr. Karim's broadcasting career has featured prominently in his professional development. He previously worked with Class FM, where he was named Presenter of the Year in 2021, and currently works with WoezorTV. His experiences across these platforms have enabled him to communicate effectively, engage diverse audiences, and advocate for issues affecting young people and the wider Ghanaian population.

Beyond communication and politics, Mr. Karim points to his work as co-founder and executive director of the Maltiti Foundation as evidence of his commitment to community development. The foundation has trained women in agriculture, created hundreds of jobs, and provided free healthcare to more than 8,000 women and men across Ghana. This work demonstrates Mr. Karim's dedication to making a positive impact in his community.

With his strong background in communication, leadership, and community development, Mr. Karim is well-positioned to contest for the NDC Deputy Communications Officer position. His vision for strengthening the party's communication strategy and empowering grassroots communicators aligns with the NDC's goals. As the contest unfolds, Mr. Karim's credentials and experience will likely be closely watched by party members and supporters.
