Emtel, a leading mobile and digital technology provider in Mauritius, has announced its partnership with STEM Racing Mauritius to support two exceptional youth teams, CSE Velocity and Racing Vortex, as they compete at the prestigious Aramco STEM Racing World Finals in Singapore from October 3-8, 2026. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for Mauritius, as two teams from the country will participate in the World Finals for the first time.
CSE Velocity, representing Collège du Saint Esprit, earned its place at the World Finals after winning the STEM Racing Mauritius National Finals 2025. The team will compete as Mauritius' national champions, showcasing their engineering skills, creativity, project management, and determination developed throughout their STEM Racing journey. Meanwhile, Racing Vortex, a separate Mauritian team composed of three young female innovators, will also compete at the World Finals, bringing their distinctive approach centered on engineering, innovation, teamwork, and sustainability.
The two teams have followed their own independent STEM Racing journeys, developed their own cars, projects, branding, and strategies, and will compete separately against teams from around the world at the World Finals. Their participation together represents a significant milestone for Mauritius and the African continent.
