A delegation from Benha University in Egypt recently visited the University of Latvia's Life Sciences and Technology in the city of Jelgava. The visit was part of the activities of the "Erasmus+" program, aimed at promoting academic and research cooperation, as well as exchanging experiences in agricultural fields and food technology. The visit was led by Dr. Nasser Al-Gizawi, President of Benha University.

The delegation included Dr. Mahmoud Al-Zablawi, Professor of Crop Education and former Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Safaa Halawa, Professor of Pesticides, and Dr. Sayed Ismail, Professor and Head of the Dairy Department. During the visit, the delegation met with Linda Bride, responsible for international relations at the University of Latvia's Life Sciences and Technology. The meeting was attended by academic delegations from several countries participating in the "Erasmus+" program, including Turkey, Spain, the Czech Republic, France, and Pakistan.

The visit included a tour of several laboratories and activities at the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Technology in Jelgava. The purpose of the tour was to learn about the educational and research capabilities, as well as practical applications in agriculture and food technology. The delegation also visited the agricultural school affiliated with the university and several farmer's farms to learn about production methods for various agricultural products.

The visit aimed to enhance cooperation and exchange experiences between Benha University and the University of Latvia's Life Sciences and Technology. Dr. Al-Gizawi emphasized that such visits come within the framework of the university's efforts to expand its international partnerships and provide greater opportunities for exchanging experiences and experiments between faculty members and researchers.
