Since the beginning of the year, the transactions of Egyptian investors have represented 88.3% of the trading value for listed shares, after excluding deals. Foreign investors accounted for 7.6%, and Arab investors made up 4.2%. Moreover, foreign investors recorded a net sale of approximately 11,990.5 million pounds, and Arab investors registered a net sale of around 10,016.2 million pounds on listed shares since the start of the year.

The Egyptian stock market experienced a decline in its major indices during the first trading session of the week. The market capitalization lost around 96 billion pounds, closing at 4.142 trillion pounds. The main index, EGX30, dropped by 1.39% to close at 53,031 points. Other indices, including EGX30 weighted and EGX30 total return, also declined.

In addition to the EGX30, other indices experienced losses. The EGX35-LV index, which tracks low-volatility stocks, fell by 2.77% to close at 6,406 points. The EGX70 equal-weighted index, which represents medium and small-sized companies, declined by 3.87% to close at 19,067 points. The EGX100 equal-weighted index also dropped by 3.49% to close at 25,317 points.

This decline is part of a larger trend seen in the market during the previous week. In the last trading session of the week, the market capitalization had lost around 58 billion pounds, closing at 4.238 trillion pounds. The EGX30 index had dropped by 0.83% to close at 53,776 points. Other indices, including EGX30 weighted and EGX30 total return, also experienced losses.
