The Egyptian Ministry of Endowments has continued its efforts to promote moderate and enlightened thinking, enhance religious and societal awareness, and intensify advocacy, scientific, and cultural activities. From September 26 to October 2, 2026, the ministry executed a range of programs and events targeting imams, female preachers, children, youth, and various segments of society. These activities aimed to foster a deeper understanding of Islamic teachings and promote social cohesion.
In the realm of jurisprudential and scientific activities, the ministry organized 628 Fiqh councils in six regional directorates: Red Sea, Suez, Matruh, New Valley, North Sinai, and South Sinai. These councils took place after the Maghreb prayer. Additionally, 26 Fiqh councils were held for female preachers in eight directorates: Cairo, Dakahlia, Matruh, Alexandria, Kafr El Sheikh, Sohag, El Beira, and Minya. The ministry also conducted 3,292 curriculum-based lessons for imams in all regional directorates and 89 similar lessons for female preachers in 13 directorates.
The ministry intensified its scientific and advocacy activities by organizing 625 scientific lectures in several regional directorates on Monday after the Maghreb prayer. Furthermore, 2,036 fixed pulpits were held in all directorates on Tuesday after the Maghreb prayer, and 383 scientific councils were convened in regional directorates, excluding border directorates. Three joint convoys were also organized between Al-Azhar and the Ministry of Endowments on October 2.
On the cultural and awareness front, the ministry executed 27 major lectures in regional directorates and conducted a cultural week in the Cairo Endowments Directorate. A lecture titled "My Creed" was held in collaboration with the Al-Gomhoria newspaper on Wednesday. Additionally, 3,392 councils were organized for reading the Blessed Prophetic Biography by Imam Al-Busiri in major mosques on Thursday.
The ministry extended its efforts to children and youth by implementing a summer program for children in 20,880 mosques across all directorates on Monday and Wednesday after the Asr prayer. The ministry also organized 1,018 youth convoys in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and 200 lectures in partnership with the Ministry of Education. Furthermore, 100 lectures were held at cultural palaces in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, and 90 health awareness lectures were conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.
As part of its efforts to intensify advocacy in targeted areas, the ministry organized advocacy convoys in Cairo, Suez, and Port Said directorates. The ministry also implemented activities in pivotal mosques in 10,900 mosques across all regional directorates. These efforts reflect the diversity of advocacy, scientific, and cultural activities undertaken by the Ministry of Endowments.
