Egypt's Minister of Local Development, Manal Awad, and Hanan Majdi, Governor of New Valley, have inaugurated a handicraft complex in the village of Margouq, Belat center. The complex was established to gather various service and handicraft activities in an organized and equipped environment. The complex, built on an area of 1,000 square meters, comprises 10 handicraft units with an average area of 28 square meters per unit. The activities within the complex include knitting, sewing, metalwork, aluminum and glasswork, carpentry, car mechanics, tire repair, and motorcycle mechanics. Minister Awad emphasized that the complex is a model for collecting service and handicraft activities in a organized environment.

The complex features a dedicated electric transformer, a main control room, an independent water line, and separate sewage systems for each unit. Additionally, the complex is equipped with a comprehensive fire protection and safety unit.
