Egyptian Minister of Housing, Randa El-Menashy, recently conducted an inspection tour of various projects in new cities across Upper Egypt. During her visit to the new city of Taiba, El-Menashy inspected the construction of 21 residential buildings under the presidential initiative "Housing for All Egyptians" in the 620-acre area. She also reviewed the progress of 41 residential buildings under the green housing initiative, which features environmentally friendly designs and energy-efficient materials.
In the new city of Asyut, El-Menashy examined the ongoing work to complete the paving, landscaping, and greenery in the northwestern entrance to the city. This project aims to improve the city's infrastructure and enhance its overall appearance. The entrance is a vital axis, serving several important areas, including the university, technology zone, and 1304-acre area.
El-Menashy's tour also included a visit to the new city of Minya, where she met with citizens and listened to their concerns and demands. She instructed officials to promptly address these issues and provide necessary services to residents. The minister received a report on the outcomes of recent visits by officials from the New Urban Communities Authority to cities in Upper Egypt.
The report highlighted a visit by Engineer Ammar Mandour, deputy head of the New Urban Communities Authority, to the new city of Akhmim. During this visit, Mandour and his team inspected several residential and service projects, including buildings under the "Housing for All Egyptians" initiative. They also reviewed the progress of various services, such as police and fire stations, and healthcare facilities.
Furthermore, the report mentioned a visit by Engineer Ahmed Ibrahim, deputy head of the New Urban Communities Authority, to the new city of Nasser. Ibrahim and his team reviewed the city's planning and development, including areas earmarked for investment and services. They also discussed proposals for developing residential and service areas.
El-Menashy concluded her tour by emphasizing the importance of continued field visits to monitor project progress and ensure quality and timeliness. She stressed that the development of new cities in Upper Egypt goes beyond just constructing residential units, aiming to provide a comprehensive range of services, roads, green spaces, and investment opportunities.
