The meeting aimed to follow up on several work files in the governorate and review the executive position of developmental and service projects. During the meeting, Dr. Awad followed up on the executive position of projects included in the Qalyubia Governorate's investment plan for the 2026/2027 fiscal year. The discussion included procedures for bidding and contracting on projects and starting implementation in various centers, cities, and districts. Dr. Awad emphasized the importance of adhering to the specified time tables for implementation and maximizing the benefits from investments directed to urban and rural development sectors.
The meeting also touched on the governorate's efforts to maximize the use of available assets and resources and support investment to create job opportunities and maximize the relative advantages available. Several investment opportunities in some cities and centers of the governorate were reviewed to achieve economic returns and financial resources that contribute to ongoing development plans.
Dr. Hussam Abdel Fattah stated that the governorate is seeking to develop an integrated vision to attract more investments in various economic sectors. This aims to maximize the use of state-owned assets and achieve more sustainable economic development, create new job opportunities for young people, and improve the level of services provided to citizens.
The meeting also addressed the integrated solid waste management system. Dr. Awad followed up on the governorate's efforts to improve the efficiency of waste collection, transportation, and safe disposal operations. The newly opened intermediate waste stations in the Khanak and Benha areas were also discussed. These stations are part of the efforts to develop the waste management system in the governorate.
The discussion also included preparations and plans for planting trees and green spaces along the main roads and axes of the governorate. This is in line with the directives of the President of the Republic and the assignments of the Prime Minister in the recent governorate council meeting. The meeting reviewed the latest developments in the file of reconciliation of building violations.
The meeting concluded with a follow-up on the executive position of developmental and service projects implemented within the framework of the presidential initiative "Hayat Karima". The initiative includes 703 projects in the Shibin Al-Qanater center, of which 639 have been completed and are being handed over. The remaining projects are being finalized to be operational soon.
