Egyptian Minister of Local Development and Environment Dr. Manal Awad received a report on the results of field visits conducted by the Higher Committee for Public Establishments and the Internal Review and Governance Department to several neighborhoods in Giza. The visits took place during September and aimed to monitor the implementation of ministerial directives, improve citizen services, and address violations.

The field visits covered various aspects, including monitoring the workflow at technological centers in the districts of Agouza and Tlebia, and the city of Hawamdeya. The committee reviewed citizen requests, met with some of them to listen to their concerns, and coordinated with officials to expedite pending requests. This effort aimed to enhance performance efficiency, improve citizen services, and address any issues promptly.

According to the report, the visits included intensive cleaning campaigns to remove accumulated waste and garbage, and the removal of obstructions and violations from streets and public spaces. The committee also inspected public establishments and commercial facilities to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Any violations found were addressed immediately, and necessary legal actions were taken.

In the district of Agouza, the committee worked with technological center officials to expedite pending transactions and resolve issues. They completed 58 requests, handed over documents to citizens, and concluded their transactions. The committee also removed approximately 85 cases of obstruction and violations and closed and sealed 10 non-compliant establishments.

In Tlebia district, the committee conducted daytime and nighttime campaigns, resulting in the removal of around 95 cases of obstruction and violations from streets and public spaces. They also closed and sealed 14 non-compliant establishments and took necessary legal actions. Additionally, they carried out a door-to-door campaign to raise awareness among citizens and commercial activity owners about the importance of regularizing their situations.

The field visit in Hawamdeya involved monitoring the workflow at the technological center, reviewing citizen requests, and addressing concerns. The committee completed procedures for issuing 175 reconciliation models and took necessary actions. They also conducted campaigns to remove obstructions and violations, resulting in the closure and sealing of eight non-compliant establishments.

Dr. Manal Awad praised the efforts of the field monitoring teams in Giza neighborhoods and emphasized the need for continued monitoring to ensure the provision of high-quality services to citizens and address any shortcomings or violations. She also highlighted the importance of raising awareness among commercial activity owners about the need to regularize their situations and comply with laws and regulations.
