The selection process was based on a set of integrated criteria that considered various aspects of the student's personality, including academic excellence, seriousness in academic achievement, commitment to lectures and practical training, good character, discipline, and commitment to university values and traditions. The committee also evaluated the student's ability to communicate positively with colleagues and faculty members, teamwork, respect for others, and sense of responsibility.

The criteria for selection also included the student's active participation in various student activities, such as cultural, literary, artistic, sports, scientific, and social activities. The committee looked at the student's contributions and initiatives that reflect their talents and creative abilities, as well as their participation in student unions, volunteer work, and community service. Leadership skills, initiative, organization, general knowledge, and cultural awareness were also considered.
