The Kasr Al-Aini Faculty of Medicine at Cairo University recently conducted an oral exam for its professional diploma program in medical imaging and interventional radiology for breast diseases. This program is offered by the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology. The exam is part of the faculty's efforts to develop continuing medical education programs and prepare specialized medical professionals in diagnosis and modern interventions for breast diseases.

According to Dr. Hussam Salah, Dean of Kasr Al-Aini Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cairo University Hospitals, this diploma represents a model for specialized educational programs that keep pace with rapid developments in diagnosis and treatment. He emphasized the importance of integrating academic education with practical clinical training to improve physician efficiency and support Egypt's healthcare system.

Dr. Salah highlighted that Kasr Al-Aini continues to play a leading role in providing specialized training programs based on the scientific and practical experiences of faculty members. These programs offer students opportunities to train in the latest diagnostic and medical interventions, enhancing the university's position as a leading institution in medical education and training in Egypt and the Middle East.

Dr. Omar Maawiya, Head of the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at Kasr Al-Aini, explained that the diploma combines academic study with specialized clinical training. This allows students to acquire necessary experiences in breast imaging and related diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. He emphasized the department's commitment to providing a comprehensive training environment utilizing available resources and expertise.

The diploma is one of the professional programs accredited by the Supreme Council of University Hospitals and the Arab Board. It is supervised by the Women's Medical Imaging Unit through a tripartite committee managing the program. The program includes a one-year study and training period within the faculty, covering various diagnostic and interventional examinations for breast diseases, as well as early detection programs.

Dr. Naglaa Abdel Razek, Director of the program and Head of the Women's Medical Imaging Unit, stated that the diploma is a successful professional program at Kasr Al-Aini. The program includes remote education, electronic lectures, case reviews, and interactions with field experts, in addition to participating in specialized workshops on breast imaging and interventions.

The Kasr Al-Aini Faculty of Medicine announces the opening of applications for the diploma twice a year through the office of the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research. The admission process is coordinated through the Higher Committee for Diplomas at the faculty. This diploma is one of the specialized professional programs offered by Kasr Al-Aini, reflecting Cairo University's leadership in developing medical education and training.
