Egyptian Governor of Minya, Emad Kaddwani, recently inspected Taha Hussein Basic Education School in the Beny Mazar district. The visit aimed to monitor the educational process and the implementation rates of educational building projects. These projects are part of the governorate's plan to expand and develop schools, reduce student overcrowding, and eliminate afternoon classes. This effort seeks to provide a better educational environment for students.

During his visit, Governor Kaddwani reviewed the current status of the partial replacement and expansion work at Taha Hussein school. The school is built on an area of 3100 square meters. The governor monitored the progress of the new expansion building, which consists of a ground floor and four floors. The building will have 19 classrooms at a cost of 15.5 million Egyptian pounds. Once completed, the school's total capacity will increase to 40 classrooms. These include four classrooms for kindergarten, 24 for primary school, and 12 for preparatory school.

Governor Kaddwani emphasized that the governorate continues to implement a comprehensive plan to expand educational infrastructure. This aligns with the state's goals to improve education quality and enhance the school environment. He noted that the new projects in education and health sectors across the governorate's centers represent tangible achievements. The governor urged teachers to continue their role in building students' awareness and promoting values of belonging and love for the country.

The governor directed the concerned authorities to complete the remaining work at the school according to the specified timeline. He stressed the importance of coordinating between the Education Directorate, the Educational Buildings Authority, and local units. This coordination aims to ensure the swift entry of new facilities into service, reducing overcrowding and improving student distribution.

Ahmed Othman, Director of the Educational Buildings Authority branch in Minya, stated that work is currently underway on 12 educational projects in Beny Mazar. These projects are expected to be operational during the second semester. He also mentioned that the Shaab school for basic education will open in October. The school is built on 3900 square meters and will have 51 classrooms at a cost of 43 million Egyptian pounds.

Othman further noted that October will also see the bidding process for 14 new schools on October 26 and 28. The process for the remaining schools will follow subsequently as part of the expansion plan for educational facilities across the governorate. Meanwhile, Sabir Abdel Hamid, Deputy Minister of Education in Minya, highlighted the intensification of field visits to ensure the regularity of the educational process and the availability of educational supplies.

Abdel Hamid confirmed the continued coordination with the Educational Buildings Authority to quickly receive new facilities, equip them, and support a more balanced distribution of students.
