In a recent interview on "Nogoum FM", Ayman El-Sawy, founder and CEO of Bukra, a digital savings platform, discussed the different types of investments available on their platform. El-Sawy emphasized that there is a distinction between saving and investing, noting that investing carries higher risks but offers potential for greater returns. He explained that Bukra is a financial technology company regulated by the Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority.

Bukra provides three types of savings products: a savings book, sukuk, and a pension card. The savings book allows users to invest in a diversified portfolio of assets, suitable for those who want to invest but are unsure about the best option. Sukuk are investment certificates that represent ownership in a specific project or asset, offering a fixed return. The pension card is designed to help individuals save for retirement, providing a steady income stream.

El-Sawy highlighted that Bukra's platform offers a unique feature - an artificial intelligence-powered chatbot named "Amin" and "Amine". This AI tool is designed to educate users and provide them with information on investment options. In just one month, the chatbot handled 20,000 conversations with users. El-Sawy stressed that Bukra's goal is to make investing accessible to everyone, with a minimum investment amount of 200 Egyptian pounds.

The platform offers various investment options, including investment in gold through a gold fund called "Shakmagia". El-Sawy noted that investing in gold is suitable for long-term investments, but not for short-term gains. He also emphasized that Bukra's investment products are Shariah-compliant, ensuring that they adhere to Islamic law.

El-Sawy discussed the returns on investment, stating that the platform announces returns in newspapers and on the Egyptian stock exchange. However, the returns displayed on the app are expected returns, which may vary. He also mentioned that Bukra does not charge management fees, but rather a small fee for investment management.

Since its launch in June 2025, Bukra has gained significant traction, with over 60,000 customers investing on the platform. El-Sawy emphasized that the platform prioritizes financial security, with all transactions conducted under the supervision of the Financial Regulatory Authority. User data is also protected, with strict verification processes in place.

El-Sawy concluded by highlighting Bukra's role as an investment manager, rather than a custodian of funds. He emphasized that user funds are registered in their name and invested in a specific asset, providing a secure and transparent investment experience. With its innovative approach and commitment to financial inclusion, Bukra aims to become a leading player in Egypt's fintech industry.
