The "Street of Art" initiative, organized by the Egyptian Ministry of Culture as part of its National Project for the Arts, recently concluded on the Nile Corniche in Minya. The event featured a performance by the Minya Palace of Culture Choir, led by Maestro Essam El-Shazly. The choir's performance included a variety of national songs that garnered significant audience participation.

The initiative, which aimed to promote art and culture in public spaces, was organized by the General Organization for Culture Palaces, under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture. The event was attended by several high-ranking officials, including Dr. Abdelaziz Qanswa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and acting Minister of Culture, and Governor of Minya, Major General Emad Kaddwani.

The concluding events of the initiative included various artistic workshops, such as free drawing, ceramic shaping, and color printing. These workshops were supervised by several artists, including Wail Shutbi and Raghda Ali. Additionally, a face-painting workshop was conducted by Jehan Mahmoud and Narmin Wahid.

As part of the initiative's focus on supporting women and traditional crafts, a workshop on handmade crafts was held, supervised by Mona Khalifa Mohamed. During this workshop, participants were trained on how to create bags using ribbons. Another workshop on accessories was presented by Hanen Mohamed Abdel Tawab.

A book fair was also organized as part of the cultural events accompanying the initiative. The fair featured publications by the General Organization for Culture Palaces and was supervised by Rania Farouk. The event was attended by several cultural and executive leaders from the governorate, as well as a large number of citizens.

The Minya Palace of Culture Choir's performance included a range of national songs, such as "Rayat El Nasr" and "Ya Habibti Ya Masr." The event concluded with the song "Ahlef Bismaha," which generated significant audience enthusiasm. The initiative's activities were implemented under the supervision of the Middle Egypt Cultural Region, led by Diaa Mekawi.

The "Street of Art" initiative is part of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture's plan to promote art and culture in public spaces. The initiative aims to provide a diverse cultural and artistic program that caters to the cultural specificity of the governorate and allows the public to directly interact with the arts in public spaces.
