In addition, the Cabinet approved a draft prime ministerial decree extending the period for submitting applications for amnesty for certain construction violations for six months, starting from November 5, 2026. This aims to provide more time for individuals to complete the necessary procedures and documents.
The Cabinet also approved the inclusion of the National Project for River Regulation and its branches as a main project in the budget of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation for the fiscal years 2026/2027 to 2028/2029. The project aims to restore the Nile River to its original course and provide accurate information on the riverbed and banks.
The project will be implemented through three main axes: producing digital maps of the Nile River and its branches, inventorying and surveying public properties related to irrigation and drainage, and removing encroachments that affect water flow. The Cabinet also approved the state's treasury to cover the value of entertainment taxes for several cultural and artistic events.
Furthermore, the Cabinet approved a request from the Ministry of Culture to cover the value of entertainment taxes for several cultural and artistic events during the 2026-2027 season. The events include opera performances and music festivals. Additionally, the Cabinet approved a request from the governorate of Dakahlia to contract with the Egyptian General Company for Tourism and Hotels to establish a 4-star hotel project.
The Cabinet also approved an extension of four months for the "Ramses and the Pharaohs' Gold" exhibition in London, which will now run until January 3, 2027. The exhibition has seen significant interest from visitors, with around 180 artifacts on display. Moreover, the Cabinet was informed of the approval of 43 requests for land allocation to companies for various projects.
