A recent nighttime campaign on Al-Salam Street in Eastern Omrania, in coordination with the Facilities Police, resulted in the removal of 148 encroachments and the confiscation of seized items. Additionally, sound equipment and partitions were removed from under the Captain Kamal Amer axis, following a complaint. Three shops were closed and sealed, including one selling perfumes and cosmetics, one selling women's clothing, and another selling cleaning supplies.
In the area of building violations, the Omrania neighborhood took action against a clothing factory on Abdel Hadi Hassanein Street, which was operating without a license. The authorities also halted construction work on Faisal Street due to discrepancies with engineering drawings, and the site was cleared. Furthermore, the neighborhood's door-to-door committees continued to monitor properties that had not completed reconciliation procedures and took necessary legal actions.
The Omrania neighborhood also organized a seminar titled "The Importance of Using Family Planning Methods and Their Availability for Free at Health Units," which was attended by 87 beneficiaries. Moreover, the neighborhood's monthly executive meeting was held at the head office. In other areas, such as Othman Mahroum Street, a campaign was conducted, resulting in the removal of 118 encroachments. Another nighttime campaign on Al-Thalathini Street led to the removal of 113 encroachments.
In Imbaba, Dr. Bassem Hamdi, the head of the neighborhood, followed up on previously evacuated markets to ensure that street vendors did not return. The authorities also cleared the entrance of Nasr Street in Ardh al-Jam'iya of street vendors occupying the railway tracks. The neighborhood carried out campaigns to address encroachments in various sectors, confiscating seized items and taking legal actions. Additionally, cleaning and waste removal efforts were undertaken, and road improvement projects began.
The Agouza neighborhood witnessed the implementation of a demolition campaign against a violating structure on Abdel Wahid Shahata Street in the Ardh al-Liwa sector. The campaign involved the demolition of a galvanized structure built on the sixth floor above ground level, and the confiscation of used iron and steel. The necessary legal actions were taken as part of the efforts to address building violations and encroachments.
In Haram, a large-scale nighttime campaign was conducted in the Meryouteya area of Faisal, resulting in the closure of seven cafes, the confiscation of three tuk-tuks, and the removal of 743 encroachments. Another campaign in the northern sector on Kaabish and Arbaeen Streets led to the removal of 321 encroachments and the confiscation of 22 shisha pipes. These campaigns reflect the ongoing efforts of Giza's authorities to maintain traffic flow and an urban aesthetic while addressing citizen complaints.
