Egyptian Ambassador to Morocco Ahmed Nehad Abdel Latif met with Mohammed Katani, President and General Manager of the Moroccan Commercial Group "Wafa Bank", to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation between the private sectors of both countries. The meeting aimed to promote economic partnership and increase investments between Egypt and Morocco. Abdel Latif emphasized the significance of collaboration between the private sectors to achieve the goals of economic partnership.

During the meeting, Abdel Latif praised Wafa Bank's contribution to the Egyptian economy and its role in supporting economic relations between Egypt and Morocco. He also acknowledged the bank's experience and knowledge of the Egyptian and Moroccan markets. The meeting reviewed the current state of relations between the two countries, which have witnessed significant growth in recent years.

The Egyptian Ambassador highlighted the recent developments in bilateral relations, including the first meeting of the Coordination and Follow-up Committee, co-chaired by the Prime Ministers of both countries, in April. The committee signed 14 cooperation agreements in various fields, including industry, customs, investment, and renewable energy. These agreements reflect the mutual desire of both countries to achieve comprehensive economic partnership.

Mohammed Katani presented Wafa Bank's positive experience in Egypt since its entry into the Egyptian market in 2017. He expressed his appreciation for the promising opportunities offered by the Egyptian economy and announced the bank's expansion in the Egyptian market, including its entry into the insurance sector. Katani also expressed his desire to participate in the "El Alamein - Africa" forum, scheduled to take place in Egypt from October 2-4.

Wafa Bank's participation in the forum is expected to contribute to the development of economic relations between Egypt and Africa.
