The Egyptian government has initiated the trial operation of the New El Alamein City Internal Transportation Hub, as part of its efforts to develop and improve services in the city. The New El Alamein City Internal Transportation Hub spans an area of approximately 5200 square meters, with an administrative building of 220 square meters. The hub features two bus shelters, one accommodating 8 large buses and the other 16 large buses, as well as two car shelters, one for 7 cars and the other for 11 cars. The facility also includes waiting areas for passengers, public restrooms, and an administrative building with staff offices and accommodations.
Engineer Randa El-Manshawey, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, emphasized that the ministry is working to develop and improve services in New El Alamein City, enhancing its capacity to host major events and activities. The minister noted that the operation of the conference and exhibition center will be a significant addition to the city, supporting its position as a modern city that attracts investments and events.
Dr. Mohamed Khalaf Allah, Head of the New El Alamein City Authority, and other officials oversaw the trial operation of the first phase of the internal transportation hub. The authority aims to provide an organized and safe transportation system, facilitating the movement of residents and visitors, and connecting residential, service, and vital areas.
In addition to the transportation hub, the New El Alamein City Authority conducted an inspection tour of the International Conference and Exhibition Center in the city's heritage area. The center is being prepared to host events in the coming period, with the presence of project consultants and representatives of the executing company.
The authority is intensifying its follow-up and review of the work at the site to ensure that all necessary requirements are completed, and the center's readiness to host events is enhanced. This reflects the city's basic infrastructure and facilities, which are qualified to host major international events and conferences.
