Egypt's Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Randa El-Menashy, announced that the New Aswan City development agency will start allocating residential land plots in the northwestern expansion of the city. The allocation, which is scheduled to take place from October 11 to October 19, will be done online through a priority booking system. According to Ahmed Mahmoud Hassan, head of the New Aswan City development agency, the allocation schedule includes land plots numbered from 102 to 313. The allocation will take place over several days, with specific plots allocated on specific dates. Hassan stressed the importance of citizens adhering to the specified dates and providing the required documents. These documents include a national ID card and a receipt for a 25% payment.
The allocated land plots are part of the "premium housing" category in the 1304-acre area. El-Menashy reiterated the ministry's focus on ensuring that citizens receive their allocated land plots and housing units according to the specified timelines. This approach aims to facilitate the handover process and ensure that citizens comply with the scheduled dates.
In case citizens miss their allocated dates, they will have the opportunity to collect their land plots on October 20, 21, and 22. To collect their plots, citizens must provide the required documents, including a national ID card and a receipt for a 25% payment. Alternatively, they can authorize someone to collect the plot on their behalf with a certified power of attorney.
The Egyptian government has been actively working on various housing projects in new cities. Another project, "Bait El-Watan," is set to allocate land plots to Egyptian expatriates in the new city of Damietta. This project aims to provide housing opportunities for citizens living abroad.
El-Menashy previously emphasized the importance of taking necessary measures to prepare for the winter season. The Ministry of Housing is also focused on providing citizens with suitable housing options in various new cities.
