Egypt's Housing Bank and El-Swedy Electric recently held a ceremony to honor 7 top graduates from their joint technical academy, who achieved high ranks in the 2025-2026 academic year. The partnership between the two institutions aims to provide a model for dual technical education that combines theoretical study with practical training. The ceremony was attended by Ahmed El-Swedy, Chairman of El-Swedy Electric's Board of Trustees, and Yehia Abu El-Fotouh, CEO and Managing Director of the Housing Bank. The event also saw the presence of senior officials from the bank and the academy, as well as representatives from supporting entities, industrial partners, and technical partners. The partnership has led to the establishment of the El-Swedy and Housing Bank Technical Academy in the city of Sadat.
Yehia Abu El-Fotouh emphasized that the partnership with El-Swedy Electric has resulted in the creation of a unique model that links study and practical training, preparing students for the job market. He added that the collaboration has extended to supporting and sponsoring some of the academy's top students, enabling them to continue their education and benefit from the integrated technical education system.
Abu El-Fotouh noted that the achievement of 7 academy graduates ranking high in the national technical education standings is a direct result of the partnership between the bank and El-Swedy Electric. He stressed the importance of investing in education and training to empower youth and prepare technical cadres. Supporting education, particularly technical education, is a key priority in the Housing Bank's corporate social responsibility strategy.

The academy collaborates with over 22 industrial partners and has already graduated two batches of students, some of whom achieved top ranks in the national technical education standings. The partnership aims to provide a comprehensive technical education system that meets the needs of the job market. By supporting technical education, the institutions aim to contribute to Egypt's economic and social development.
The dual technical education model adopted by the academy provides students with 20% theoretical education and 80% practical training, enabling them to acquire the necessary skills and expertise for the workforce.
