The Damietta Port Authority in Egypt is planning to launch several new projects for the private sector. One of the projects involves the construction of an electronic weighing station, known as a boscull, in the new path area. The station will be built on a 750 square meter plot of land and will be used to weigh trucks carrying goods. The project is expected to be operated for a period of five years.

The port authority has announced that the auction for the electronic weighing station project will take place on October 27. The project requires a final security deposit of 2.5 million Egyptian pounds. The station will have a minimum capacity of 300 tons per shipment and will operate within the customs circle. This move is expected to improve the efficiency and transparency of the weighing process for goods entering and leaving the port.

In addition to the electronic weighing station, the Damietta Port Authority is also offering a project for the management, operation, and maintenance of a warehouse. The warehouse, numbered W18/5, has an area of 5015 square meters and is located in the 400 road division area. The project aims to handle dry bulk goods and will be operated by the private sector for a period of three years. The security deposit for this project is 700,000 Egyptian pounds.

The port authority is also offering several units for rent in the investor complex building. Unit 218, located on the first upper floor, has an area of 37 square meters and will be rented for a period of five years. Unit 318, also on the first upper floor, has an area of 27 square meters and will be rented for the same period. Furthermore, units 313A and 116, with areas of 22 and 13 square meters respectively, are also available for rent.

The Damietta Port Authority's decision to launch these projects is part of its efforts to involve the private sector in the development and operation of port facilities. By partnering with private companies, the authority aims to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of the port. The projects are expected to attract investments and create new job opportunities in the region.

The port of Damietta is one of the most important ports in Egypt, playing a critical role in the country's foreign trade. The port handles a significant volume of goods, including grains, sugar, and other commodities. The development of new projects and facilities is expected to enhance the port's capacity and improve its services.

The launch of these projects is expected to have a positive impact on the Egyptian economy. The involvement of the private sector is expected to bring in new investments and expertise, which will contribute to the growth and development of the port and the surrounding region. The projects will also create new opportunities for Egyptian companies and individuals to participate in the port's activities.
