Egyptian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Abdelaziz Qanswa, recently visited the Alexandria University branch in Borg El Arab, which spans around 350 acres. The visit was attended by several high-ranking officials, including the acting president of Alexandria University, Ahmed Adel Abdelhakim. During the visit, Qanswa reviewed the future vision for developing and investing in the branch.
The proposed project aims to establish a comprehensive, smart university city on the branch's land in Borg El Arab. This initiative aligns with the university's strategy to expand its educational programs and internationalize education. The envisioned city will feature state-of-the-art facilities, including a new hospital, international university branches, and advanced research and educational institutions.
Abdelhakim presented an update on the feasibility study for investing in the Alexandria University branch in Borg El Arab. He emphasized that the project seeks to maximize the utilization of the university's assets and develop the branch into a key component of the university's future expansion plan.
Qanswa emphasized the importance of integrating the educational, research, medical, and technological components of the project. He stressed that the new university city should not only provide facilities but also create a comprehensive environment for education, research, innovation, and international cooperation.
The minister highlighted the need to consider global standards in planning, design, and implementation, focusing on sustainability, digital transformation, and efficient resource utilization.
