The Egyptian government's "100 Days of Health" campaign has provided over 4.16 million free services to citizens in the country's Dakahlia governorate within 56 days. The campaign, which ran from August 1 to September 25, 2026, offered various health services, including primary and therapeutic care, preventive measures, and presidential initiatives. According to the governorate's report, the campaign aimed to improve healthcare services for citizens.
The campaign provided 1.55 million services for primary care and maternal and child health. These services included emergency care, dental care, and initiatives such as "Your Heart is a Trust" and thyroid and phenylketonuria tests for children and pregnant women. Additionally, 25,956 individuals received premarital examination services, and 30,592 packs of subsidized milk were distributed to children in the first and second stages.
Hospitals within the governorate provided 1.58 million services, including external clinic services, emergency care, internal sections, intensive care, and nursery services. The services also encompassed radiology, laboratory tests, physical therapy, dental care, surgical operations, kidney dialysis, and blood and derivative distribution. Furthermore, 123,408 vaccination doses were administered, and 816 facilities were inspected.
The presidential initiatives provided 474,069 services during the campaign period. These services included initiatives for mothers and fetuses, chronic diseases, cancer detection, women's health, elderly health, and hearing services. Moreover, 157,523 individuals benefited from family development and counseling services, and over 120,000 women received family planning services.
The campaign extended to health education, with 27,902 awareness-raising seminars and events conducted, benefiting 219,285 citizens. The events covered topics such as prevention, early detection, public health, nutrition, family development, and available health services and initiatives. The campaign aimed to educate citizens about various health-related issues.
Dr. Hamouda Eid El-Gazzar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Dakahlia, emphasized that the campaign's results reflect the efforts made by medical, administrative, and technical teams in hospitals, units, and health facilities. He stated that the campaign combines therapeutic, preventive, and presidential initiatives, focusing on prevention, early detection, and treatment follow-up.
