The Egyptian Mining Company is prepared to fulfill the country's quartz needs entirely, according to its chairman, Lieutenant General Abdel Salam Ahmed Shafik. This comes as part of a broader strategy to maximize the value of Egypt's quartz resources. Previously, quartz was mainly extracted and exported for a low price. The company now aims to convert quartz into advanced industries with significant economic returns.

The uses of quartz have expanded beyond producing quartz panels, encompassing vital and future sectors. These include manufacturing solar energy panels and semi-conductor chips used in modern vehicles and electronic transportation. Additionally, quartz powder will be used in local paint industries and iron factory furnaces. This diversification aims to boost Egypt's economic benefits from its quartz reserves.

For domestic and construction uses, the Egyptian quartz panels boast global specifications that meet family and large project requirements. They are characterized by exceptional hardness, surpassing granite with a hardness level of 7, and are completely non-porous. This makes them resistant to stains, acids, viruses, and bacteria. They are also scratch-resistant and come with a 15-year warranty.

The panels are available in three different thicknesses: 1.4 cm for wall cladding, 2 cm for flooring, and 3 cm for stair treads. They are used in hospitals for operating rooms, intensive care units, and laboratories, as well as in villas and residential apartments. This wide range of applications highlights the versatility and value of Egypt's quartz resources.

Lieutenant General Abdel Salam has extended an invitation to all investors and traders in the quartz panel sector and the local market. He emphasized that the Egyptian Mining Company is ready to meet 100% of the local market's needs in terms of variety, color, and design. The company is also open to exporting its products, promoting the slogan "Goodbye to imports" due to its significant capabilities and advanced local manufacturing.

The company's strategy aligns with Egypt's goals to boost its mining sector and reduce reliance on imports. By developing its quartz resources, Egypt aims to create more job opportunities and stimulate economic growth. The Egyptian Mining Company's efforts reflect a broader trend towards maximizing the value of the country's natural resources.

The development of Egypt's quartz industry is part of a larger plan to enhance the country's industrial capabilities. With its rich quartz reserves and growing manufacturing sector, Egypt is poised to become a significant player in the global quartz market. The Egyptian Mining Company's readiness to meet local demand and expand exports marks a significant step towards achieving this goal.
