The Egyptian Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities has announced the launch of an online portal for its 'Bitek Fi Masr' initiative, enabling Egyptians living abroad to reserve residential units in new cities. This move is part of the government's efforts to provide housing options for Egyptians overseas. The initiative offers a range of units with varied prices and payment plans.
To book a unit, applicants must follow a series of steps on the website. First, they need to create an account and provide required information, including their name, national ID, and valid passport and residence details. After completing the registration, applicants receive a unique code for financial transactions related to their booking.
The next step involves conducting an international transfer through a bank in the applicant's country of residence. The transfer should be made in US dollars to the Central Bank of Egypt, adhering to approved transfer instructions. It is crucial to include the applicant's unique code in the transfer details to link the amount to their online account.
Once the transfer is made, applicants need to obtain a confirmation message from their bank and upload it to the website, along with their SWIFT code. This step is essential for verifying the transfer. After the upload, applicants can monitor their account on the initiative's website to ensure the transferred amount is reflected in their balance.
The third phase of the 'Bitek Fi Masr' initiative includes residential units in eight new cities: New Alamein, New Cairo, El-Shorouk, 6th of October, Sheikh Zayed, New Administrative Capital, New Mansoura, and New Damietta. The registration and bank transfer process for these units began on November 10.
The initiative aims to provide Egyptians abroad with the opportunity to own homes in their home country, offering a range of unit sizes and prices. The payment plans are designed to be flexible and accommodating to the needs of applicants. This initiative is a significant step towards connecting Egyptians abroad with housing opportunities in Egypt.
The Ministry of Housing's effort to provide residential units for Egyptians abroad through the 'Bitek Fi Masr' initiative reflects the government's commitment to supporting its diaspora community. By leveraging technology through an online portal, the ministry has made the process more accessible and convenient for applicants worldwide.
