Egyptian Ambassador to France, Tarek Dahroug, has emphasized that Egypt and France share a historic strategic partnership, shaped by the shared vision of the two countries' leaders. This partnership was highlighted during the closing session of the 2026 Egyptian-French Business Forum, organized by Business France in collaboration with the French Senate. The forum brought together Egyptian and French business leaders to discuss opportunities for cooperation and investment.

The Egyptian-French Business Forum represents a significant step towards translating the shared vision of Egypt and France into concrete partnerships and projects. These projects aim to enhance industrial, commercial, and technological exchanges between the two countries, opening up new avenues for mutually beneficial cooperation. The forum has showcased the potential for cooperation in areas such as energy, green transformation, transportation, and sustainable cities.

Ambassador Dahroug noted that French companies' expertise aligns with Egypt's priorities in areas like clean energy, where Egypt aims to become a regional hub. He also highlighted the cooperation in healthcare, digital transformation, and food industries, as well as vocational training, which is a priority for utilizing the youth's potential. The ambassador emphasized that the forum's outcomes will help strengthen ties between the two nations.

The volume of bilateral trade between Egypt and France exceeds €3 billion, with Egypt witnessing a comprehensive transformation. The country has implemented structural reforms, simplified its regulatory framework, and modernized its infrastructure, making it more open to direct investments than ever before. These efforts have contributed to Egypt's improved economic prospects.

According to the 2025 Global Investment Report by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), Egypt ranked first in Africa in terms of inward foreign direct investment in 2024, with $46.6 billion. This represents nearly half of the total foreign direct investment in the continent. The report highlights Egypt's growing appeal as an investment destination.

Investing in Egypt means investing in a market of over 110 million people, with the country serving as a strategic platform for accessing Africa and the Middle East. Ambassador Dahroug stressed that the Egyptian Embassy in Paris, along with Egyptian economic and commercial teams, is committed to supporting companies and investors in facilitating procedures and materializing projects.

The ambassador expressed his gratitude to the French Senate, Business France, and all organizers and partners who made the forum possible. He concluded that the partnership between Egypt and France will continue to grow, with a focus on mutually beneficial cooperation and investment.
