Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty emphasized the need to end the Gaza war and fully implement the US-brokered peace plan during a meeting with eight Arab and Islamic counterparts in New York on Monday. He also emphasized the need for safe, full, and unhindered humanitarian aid into Gaza.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister renewed his country's categorical rejection of any attempt to displace Palestinians from their land, alongside its condemnation of Israeli measures in the West Bank and moves to alter the legal and historical status quo in Jerusalem and its holy sites. He warned of the dangers of continued settlement expansion and measures aimed at imposing new facts on the ground.
The ministers agreed to keep intensifying coordination and consultation in the coming period on developments in the occupied Palestinian territories to contribute to security and stability across the region.
