Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has called on residents of Orhionwon Local Government Area to support President Bola Tinubu's re-election in 2027. At an APC campaign rally in Abudu, Okpebholo declared that a vote for Tinubu is equally a vote for his administration and the All Progressives Congress (APC). He urged the people to sustain their support for the APC and its progressive agenda.

Okpebholo highlighted the benefits of the economic reforms implemented by the Tinubu administration. He noted that the removal of fuel subsidy has led to the redemption of Nigeria's resources, which were previously in the hands of a few individuals. The governor stated that the gains from this action have enabled the government to pay salaries and develop the country.

The governor also urged the people to appreciate the economic reforms of the Tinubu administration, which have created opportunities for governments at all levels to meet their obligations and deliver development to the people. The people of Orhionwon South welcomed Okpebholo's address, expressing gratitude for his approval of the area's electrification, which had been without electricity for over 25 years.

The residents described the approval as a major milestone that would end decades of darkness, improve the economy, and enhance the quality of life in their communities. They applauded Okpebholo for responding to their long-standing demand and demonstrating his administration's commitment to extending development to rural communities.

Other prominent APC leaders addressed the rally, including Deputy Governor Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa, Director-General of the Edo State APC Presidential Campaign Council Senator Matthew Uroghide, and former Deputy Governors Dr Pius Odubu and Dr Lucky Imasuen. They called for sustained support for the APC, highlighting the need for party unity and collective commitment to the party's electoral success.

The rally also witnessed the defection of new members into the APC, with the party's Deputy State Chairman, Sylvester Aigbobor, formally receiving the decampees into the party. The event showcased the party's efforts to strengthen its base and mobilize support for the 2027 elections.

The APC campaign rally in Abudu demonstrated the party's commitment to engaging with its base and promoting its agenda. With Governor Okpebholo and other prominent leaders urging support for President Tinubu's re-election, the party aims to build momentum for the upcoming elections.
