Ebonyi APC Stakeholders Rally Behind Ekumankama for 2027 Victory

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edda Local Government Area of Ebonyi state have pledged to mobilise their political structures and resources to ensure the victory of the party's candidate for Afikpo/Edda Federal Constituency, Barr. Joseph Ekumankama, in the 2027 general elections. The commitment was made during a solidarity gathering organised to celebrate Ekumankama's emergence as the APC flagbearer for the constituency.

The gathering, held at the Abakaliki residence of the APC State Chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, attracted political leaders, stakeholders and party faithful from Edda Local Government Area. Emegha described Ekumankama as a candidate with the character, competence and political connections required to attract meaningful development to Afikpo/Edda Federal Constituency.

Emegha said the candidate's emergence reflected both divine providence and the collective aspiration of the people of Edda. He added that his actions throughout the party's primary process were guided by the interest of the APC and the directives of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, the party's leader in Ebonyi State. Emegha assured Ekumankama that the party would work together to ensure his victory in the 2027 elections.

Other speakers, including the Executive Chairman of Edda Local Government Area, Hon. Simeon Oko Onuoha Omezua; former Ebonyi PDP Chairman, Prince Ugorji Ama Oti; former Commissioner for Information, Chief Abia Onyike; and member of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Prince Nkemnka Okoro Onuma, congratulated Ekumankama on his emergence. They described his candidacy as an opportunity to strengthen the political representation of the people of Afikpo/Edda Federal Constituency at the National Assembly.

Responding, Ekumankama expressed appreciation to Emegha and other stakeholders for their solidarity and confidence in his aspiration. He promised purposeful, accessible and quality representation if elected, and pledged to maintain regular engagements with constituents through town hall meetings and consultations with community leaders, youth groups, women and other stakeholders.

Ekumankama further promised to leverage his professional experience and political connections in Abuja to attract federal projects, infrastructure, employment opportunities and other development interventions to Afikpo/Edda Federal Constituency. He urged APC members and stakeholders to sustain the unity demonstrated at the gathering, assuring them that their support would motivate him to deliver effective and accountable representation if elected in 2027.
