Dr Albert Antwi-Boasiako, former Director-General of the Cyber Security Authority, has had his book showcased at the 15th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice in Abu Dhabi. The book, titled "The Republic", documents Ghana's cybersecurity development and the author's professional journey. It was among the selected publications displayed at the congress, which brought together over 5,000 participants from 97 countries.
The book, published in November 2025, is a professional autobiography that traces Dr Antwi-Boasiako's career alongside the development of Ghana's cybersecurity institutions, policies, and initiatives. It also highlights the contributions of public officials, industry players, and international partners to Ghana's cybersecurity growth. The book's selection for exhibition was recommended by members of the United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ) community.
The Chair of the CCPCJ's 34th session, José Antonio Zabalgoitia, described the selected publications as accounts that demonstrate courage, determination, and resilience, while promoting the pursuit of just and peaceful societies. He noted that "The Republic" is a valuable addition to the exhibition, which aims to strengthen international cooperation in addressing public security challenges.
Reacting to the selection, Dr Antwi-Boasiako credited the people and institutions whose work contributed to Ghana's cybersecurity development. He stated that the book reflects the efforts of many colleagues, partners, and public service officials who helped build Ghana's cybersecurity foundations. Dr Antwi-Boasiako expressed his gratitude and accepted the honour on behalf of everyone involved in the journey.
The exhibition offered delegates an opportunity to explore Ghana's cybersecurity experience through Dr Antwi-Boasiako's first-hand account. The exhibited copy of the book is being retained in an Abu Dhabi library as part of the CCPCJ's historical collection. This will allow for continued access and reference to the book's valuable insights and lessons.
