A Rwandan education ministry delegation visited Djibouti from October 4-8, 2026, to study and exchange experiences on producing French language textbooks. The visit was organized by the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) and the Djiboutian Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFOP). The workshop focused on the entire production chain of French language textbooks, from conception to distribution.
The training workshop was held at the Center for Research, Information, and Production of National Education (CRIPEN), with around 20 education officials and institution heads in attendance. The opening ceremony was attended by MENFOP Secretary General Mohamed Abdallah Mahyoub and OIF Director of French Language Teaching and Learning Dr. Rennie Yotova. The event aimed to share experiences and best practices in designing, developing, and producing French language educational materials.

They praised Djibouti's experience in developing curricula and textbook production, highlighting CRIPEN's expertise in pedagogical research and textbook publishing. Dr. Rennie Yotova stressed the importance of exchanging experiences and strengthening the capacities of professionals involved in textbook production.
The study visit provided a platform for Djiboutian and Rwandan education professionals to share knowledge and experiences.
