The Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF) has introduced the Student Share Grant Initiative to encourage young Nigerians to begin their investment journey early. This program aims to deepen financial literacy and promote a culture of long-term wealth creation. Eligible students aged 18 and above in public and private tertiary institutions across Nigeria can participate in the ongoing Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE (DPRP).

Under the initiative, students who buy 10 shares will receive 10 free shares from the foundation. To qualify, students must complete the verification process and subscribe for a minimum of 10 DPRP shares through the designated platform, ipo.alikodangotefoundation.org. Chairman of the Aliko Dangote Foundation, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, stated that the program is designed to give young Nigerians a meaningful introduction to investment and ownership.

Alhaji Aliko Dangote emphasized that supporting young people goes beyond providing access to education; it also involves equipping them with the knowledge and opportunities to participate in economic growth and wealth creation. He noted that exposing young people to investment opportunities at an early stage can significantly influence their future financial decisions and encourage greater participation in the formal economy.

Chief Executive Officer of the Aliko Dangote Foundation, Mrs Zouera Youssoufou, said the initiative bridges the gap between financial education and practical experience. She stated that financial literacy becomes more impactful when people can apply what they learn, and this program allows eligible students to experience first-hand how the investment process works.

The foundation's objective extends beyond a single IPO transaction; it seeks to inspire a lifelong interest in financial literacy, investing, and asset ownership among young Nigerians. The knowledge and experience gained through this initiative can serve as a foundation for sound financial decision-making throughout their lives.

The Student Share Grant Initiative is open to students aged 18 years and above in public and private tertiary institutions across Nigeria. This program aims to introduce thousands of young people to the principles of saving, responsible investing, and ownership through direct participation in the IPO of DPRP.

The program will help young Nigerians develop an investment mindset early in life, make informed financial choices, build wealth responsibly, and contribute more actively to economic development. The Aliko Dangote Foundation's initiative is a step towards empowering the next generation of investors in Nigeria.
