The Dangote Group has highlighted the importance of domestic production in strengthening Nigeria's economic resilience. At the Dangote Special Day during the Abuja International Trade Fair, Group General Manager Abdullahi Bello Danmusa emphasized that trade can have a greater economic impact when supported by strong domestic productive capacity. He represented Regional Director Fatima Wali-Abdurrahman at the event.

Danmusa stated that taxation is a fundamental component of national development and that Dangote Group takes its tax obligations seriously, contributing substantial revenues to the government annually. The group also supports employment, enterprise, and value creation across its operations. This, he believes, can help deepen economic activity, create jobs, and support local enterprises.

The theme of this year's Trade Fair, "Resilience: Trade, Taxation and the Economy," aligns with Dangote Group's investment strategy. Danmusa noted that Nigeria's economic resilience depends on building domestic manufacturing capacity to produce, compete, and export. The group continues to invest in various sectors, including cement, sugar, salt, and petroleum refining, to support Nigeria's industrialization.

Prof. Adebisi Adesugba, First Deputy President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), commended Dangote Industries for its contribution to Nigeria's economic development. He noted that Dangote's strategic investments have strengthened domestic productive capacity, created employment opportunities, and reduced dependence on imports.

Adesugba emphasized that the partnership between ACCI and Dangote has created opportunities for businesses and entrepreneurs while supporting trade, investment, and sustainable economic development. The collaboration is an important platform for strengthening the business community and advancing economic opportunities.

The Dangote Special Day brought together business leaders, government representatives, investors, exhibitors, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders to discuss taxation, trade, industrialization, investment, domestic production, and Nigeria's economic development prospects. The event showcased Dangote's commitment to supporting Nigeria's industrialization and contributing to a more productive and resilient economy.

Key stakeholders recognize Dangote's role in promoting commerce, investment, and entrepreneurship in Nigeria and across the African sub-region. The group's investments reflect its commitment to domestic production and economic resilience, aligning with the theme of the Abuja International Trade Fair.
