After experiencing a bike malfunction, he sought the help of a taxi to reach a location where his bike could be repaired. Unfortunately, the taxi, carrying four people including Masaïsai, was involved in a traffic accident, resulting in the deaths of all occupants.
The body of Miguel Masaïsai is currently at the morgue in Ouesso, Republic of Congo. The Congolese authorities are now handling the logistics for the repatriation of his body to the Democratic Republic of Congo.
